The top-seeded Panthers got another tremendous pitching performance from Madison Hummel, who also contributed two runs batted in at the plate, to top Belvidere 7-2 for the North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 title on May 29.
Hailey Ortega and Sarah Lippin also had two RBIs each.
During the game, Hummel struck out the 500th batter of her career. This follows her 100th career hit in an earlier game.
