The 2022 North Jersey Section 2 bowling champs
The Roselle Park bowling team won the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2 Group 1 championship on Feb. 11.
The Panthers bested Oratory, Warren Tech, McNair, and Middlesex among other challengers by rolling a 2,831 at Jersey Lanes in Linden. Oratory came in second with a total of 2,565.

Groups 1-4 from North Jersey competed at Jersey Lanes. The top two teams from each group will advance to the state team tournament Feb. 16 at Bowlero North Brunswick.
RP freshman Michael Martins rolled a set of 636, good for 11th among all bowlers at the tournament. He had a high game of 224 and averaged 212.
Derek Wenskoski rolled a 597 set, followed by Owen Miller (567), David Bromiroski (528), and Ryan Marino (503). Wenskoski led all Panthers bowlers with a high game of 230.
